2024 Nautical Flea Market Details:
-
Parking: The Florida Maritime Museum's (FMM) parking lot will remain open and offer limited free parking during event hours. Overflow free parking is available for all vendors and visitors at the FISH Preserve, located directly behind FMM's property.
-
Visitors are welcome and encouraged to walk, bike, or golf cart to the event. Bike racks are available at the front of the museum and behind the Bratton Store.
-
-
Bathrooms & Water: Two indoor ADA-accessible bathrooms will be available on the back of the Bratton Store on-site, located directly across from the field (main event space). Changing tables not available. Water fountains and a water bottle-filling station will be available between the bathrooms. Visitors and vendors are encouraged to bring their own refillable bottle.
-
Museum Hours: FMM is currently closed to undergo a necessary building rehabilitation, so it will not be open for exploring during event hours. Please visit us after our reopening to see our new look! Our projected reopening date is summer 2024. Our gardens and grounds will remain open throughout construction for public use.
-
Dogs: Dogs are welcome! This is an outdoor event. Please pick up your pet's waste. Pet waste bags available on-site.
-
Food: Breakfast and lunch food & drinks (non-alcoholic) will be available for purchase. Picnic tables available on-site.
-
Vendor Info: Vendors will pay a one-time $25 + tax rental fee* for a space. Vendors may purchase multiple spaces. Vendors will keep all proceeds earned during the event. See Vendor Agreement for more info.
-
Two vendor space formats are available: parking (10'x26' space with room for trailer/vehicle) and non-parking (10'x10' space, all vehicles must be moved before start of event). Choose your preference at checkout; we cannot guarantee specific spaces but will try to accommodate as possible.
-
Note*: Vendor space price currently set to the early-bird rate. Price may increase to $35 + tax closer to event date dependent on space availability.
-
-
Arts & Crafts: Arts & crafts items do not necessarily need to be maritime-related, but nautical and coastal items tend to be more popular with our target audience.
-
Accessibility Info: The bathrooms, water fountain, and Bratton Store porch are ADA accessible. Two ADA parking spaces are available in the FMM parking lot- first come, first served. While the FISH Preserve does not have any ADA-compliant spaces, they offer closer and wider parking spaces as needed. The walk from the FISH Preserve Parking lot to FMM's grounds (under 5 minutes) includes grass and sand paths.
-
Forms of Payment: Vendor booths may accept card/cash or cash only, as it is dependent on each vendor's preference. Come prepared with cash if desired. No ATM available on-site.
-
Outreach Booths: Some family-friendly outreach booths will also be on-site offering free activities and information on their organization. Drop by Captain Gary's “Tips & Tricks with an Old Seaman” booth to learn more about life at sea and see his remote-controlled vehicle demonstrations in the water!
