We value serving our community as a free public good. All visits, field trips, tours, and events are free-of-charge. Donations allow us to go the extra mile with our programs.

We do not expect donations, but a donation of any amount is greatly appreciated.

  • In person at FMM (cash, card, or check)

COLLECTIONS DONATIONS

Thank you for your interest in donating archival materials and artifacts to the Florida Maritime Museum. 

​

Due to space and resource limitations, we are unable to accept any items into our collection that do not pertain directly to Florida maritime heritage.

 

Because we hold these items in the public trust, we take our stewardship responsibilities very seriously and do not accept items if we are unable to care for them properly.

​

If you think your item(s) fit our museum's mission well, please email photos of your item(s) along with the following information to fmminfo@manateeclerk.com:

​

  • Clear photos of your item(s) from multiple angles

  • Dimensions of your item(s)

  • Current condition of your item(s)

  • History of item(s) if known, including where they are from

  • Your name and contact information

  • If you are local and would be able to bring your items in for further examination

 

Note: We do not appraise items for financial value.

to the Florida Maritime Museum without

prior consent.
